2024 Opening Hours: April 6 – December 15, Thursday – Sunday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Closed on Thanksgiving.

During opening hours hours, visitors are welcome to “mill around” and explore three floors of historic milling equipment and museum displays to learn about the history and process of grist milling.
The 1924 21-foot Fitz water wheel and historic milling equipment operate Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m.-noon. If you arrive early, you might even be asked to help the Miller start the water wheel!
Visitors can view an example of the ground breaking, fully automated milling system invented by Oliver Evans in 1790 which moved grain and flour through all steps of the milling process without manual labor, in a system of buckets, conveyors and chutes. Evans received U.S. Patent #3 for his invention, which was the first fully automated industrial process in America.
Guided tours with the Miller are available for groups of 6-20 people. Please see “Group Tours” for more information.
